What is a TikTok user ID?
A TikTok user ID is a numeric identifier associated with an account. It is different from the account's visible username and display name.
- Username: the public handle that appears after
@and in a profile URL. - Display name: the profile name chosen by the account owner. It does not need to be unique.
- Numeric user ID: an account identifier returned by the lookup service when the field is available.
Usernames and display names can change. A numeric ID is therefore useful as an additional account reference, but it should not be treated as proof of a person's identity or ownership of an account.
The numeric ID shown by this site is also different from TikTok developer identifiers such as open_id and union_id. Find a TikTok user ID from a username
- Open the TikTok User Finder lookup tool.
- Enter a public username, with or without the leading
@. - Select Look up account and wait for the public profile result.
- If a numeric ID is available, find it under Permanent user ID and use the copy button.
The lookup stays on the same page. It does not create a public or indexable result page for the account you entered.

What appears in the result?
When the lookup succeeds, the result may contain:

- the public display name, avatar, and bio;
- visible follower, following, like, and video counts; and
- an account-level region signal when the provider returns one.
Some fields are optional. A successful profile lookup may still omit the numeric ID, statistics, avatar, bio, or region signal. TikTok User Finder does not guess missing values.
Why might the user ID be unavailable?

Two profiles may use similar display names or handles. Comparing the numeric ID together with the official profile URL and visible profile details gives you another way to check that you found the intended public account.
Keeping an account reference
If you are documenting your own public profile, a collaborator, or a creator included in legitimate research, a numeric ID can be stored as a reference alongside the username and the date checked.
Reviewing a username change
When you already have a previous ID from a lawful record, comparing it with a current lookup can help determine whether a changed username still points to the same account. It remains important to compare multiple fields rather than relying on one identifier alone.
Privacy and accuracy limits
TikTok User Finder requests public profile information. It does not provide passwords, private posts, private contact details, IP addresses, or precise physical locations.
Public profile fields can change, disappear, or be delayed. Provider availability can also affect a lookup. Treat the result as a point-in-time reference and confirm important findings through the linked official TikTok profile.
